Stay close, even when life gets busy.
Tempo™ helps you make time for your people. Tag someone in an entry and choose a rhythm for keeping in touch. Get a gentle nudge when that time passes without a recorded mention. Tempo does not read your calls or messages.
Make time for the people you keep meaning to see.
A reminder can help you make a plan. You choose the rhythm, and you decide when to reach out.
See your chosen rhythms.
An illustrative view of upcoming and off-tempo reminders, based on recorded mentions rather than relationship quality.
A quiet signal, not a scoreboard.
Tempo notices time since a recorded mention. It does not judge your friendship or monitor calls, messages, or meetings.
Tag a person. Choose a rhythm. Get a reminder.
Tempo builds from the journal you already keep, not from a separate relationship-management ritual.
Tag people.
When you write about someone, tag them in the entry so the interaction becomes part of their history.
Choose a rhythm.
Weekly for one person. Monthly for another. You decide what staying close means for each relationship.
Notice the gap.
When your chosen interval passes without a tagged mention, Tempo shows an off-tempo reminder.
Reach out.
Send a message or make a plan when it feels right. A reminder is yours to act on.
More context than a reminder to call.
Your entries give a reminder context: what you last recorded and what you wanted to remember.
A rhythm for each person.
Weekly for a close friend, monthly for family, or any cadence that matches the relationship.
The last time, with context.
See when someone last appeared in your journal and return to what was happening between you.
A nudge to reconnect.
Tempo highlights when your chosen interval has passed since a recorded mention.
No streaks or scores.
Relationships are not productivity metrics. Tempo offers perspective without grading how you care.
Patterns across seasons.
Notice who becomes a steady presence, who returns, and which connections are changing over time.
Private relationship notes.
The context comes from your encrypted journal, not a shared social graph or public activity feed.
Find a rhythm that fits your life.
Learn how tagged entries and a chosen interval help you remember to reconnect.
Your relationship history is not a social network.
Tempo uses people you tag in your journal. It does not monitor your communications or notify the people you tag. Importing contacts is optional.
Each tagged entry adds the context you recorded. A mention can refer to a meeting or simply a thought about someone; it is not proof that you spoke.
Your everyday entries already contain the signal.
Tag the person when you write about them. That recorded mention helps keep their Tempo up to date.
Mention the person, not the interaction log.
Write what was worth remembering and tag who was there. Tempo handles the timeline in the background.
Context makes the gap meaningful.
A date tells you it has been six weeks. Your entries remind you what you last talked about, what they were going through, and why reaching out may matter now.
A note about this earlier screen.
The Drift Insights preview below is from an earlier version. That feature has been removed; current Tempo uses tagged mentions and your chosen rhythm.
Frequently asked questions
Is memorist free?
Yes. memorist is free to download on the App Store, and you can start journaling without creating an account.
Do I need an account to start journaling?
No account is needed for your first entries. A free account lets you continue beyond the guest limit. Recovery also requires your encryption key in iCloud Keychain.
How is my journal protected?
memorist uses end-to-end encryption. Your entries are encrypted on your device before they ever reach our servers, using a key stored in your iOS Keychain. Encrypted sync storage is separate from optional AI processing and the Memory topics you choose to share with an assistant.
Does memorist work offline?
Yes. Your entries are written and saved locally on your iPhone. Sync and online AI features need a connection.
Can I export my journal?
Journal export is a membership feature. Keep exported files somewhere safe: they are readable files, and journal export is not a complete Memory backup.
